Well the Doc is saying my grandpa has Glioblastoma Multiforme.

Basically it is a really fast form of cancer. The tumors can grow really quick.

For example, my grandpa just started showing signs of problems a little more then a week ago. The tumor is already about 1/3 the size of the left hemisphere of his brain.

There is no cure, no treatment, no nothing for this.

For those who remember the name, it is the same thing that killed Ted Kennedy.

Doc said it could be weeks or maybe months before it kills him but, everyone seems to think it will be sooner than later with how quickly it is moving along.

I did see him yesterday and I was lucky enough to have some of that time be when he was lucid. He introduced me to his nurse at the hospital and even told her how proud of me he is. That made my day and made me feel much better about the situation.

I still wish that I could have helped raise more money for the research to help find a cure.

I will keep trying to raise more in the future. It will be hard at first but I will keep up the fight.

No this isn't a post about sex. If that's what you want go troll some place else.

We just hear from the Dr's that my grandpa's cancer is inoperable and that the mass is large enough at this point they think he might only last a few weeks now.

They are going to send him home which will be nice. The sad part is the tumor is pushing against where the memories and thought processes are in the brain. So right now he may be with it most of the time but that is going to cause him to not even know who he is or what is going on.

I'm sure someone reading this knows what that is like to deal with but if you haven't dealt with something like that, just try to picture it for a little bit.

I know I should be strong for him and support him anyway I can. I still feel helpless though right now.

I do all of those charity events for the cancer society. I know what I have raised in the past has to have helped someone.

It isn't going to help my grandpa though.

I will continue to do my best to raise money for the research to help others. I just wish I could help him with it.

Going to be a quick little post but I need the second to vent.

Just found out my grandpa has a tumor in his brain.

He is 92 and already has a pace maker. He also lost his wife, my grandma, to a rare form of Leukemia 7 years ago.

All I have to say is this,

Dear Cancer,

Go Fuck Yourself. When you are done there then you can Go to Hell.

I'm so sick of hearing the word Cancer. I would rather listen to some drunken idiots fight over something childish in a bar for every second of my life then to ever hear the word Cancer again.

My mind is racing but there is nothing that makes sense coming out of it.

Tired of winter

The title pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.

Had two nice days here where I was able to actually get the bike out and enjoy some rides.

Now winter storm Vulcan is on its merry way and we might get rain... then again we might get a couple inches of snow. Nice to see the weather can't even make up it's mind on what it wants to do.

The rides were very nice. Lets face it though, this nice weather brings out the ladies who have been hiding over the winter under all that clothing.

Lets face it, those women in those tiny little shorts makes my blood rush to places other than my brain. Haha.

To those women, I don't care if you are 18 or old enough to be my grandma, if you have it flaunt it. I don't care what any straight man says, we all love it. Me personally I am a leg and ass man.

So weather please warm up so the lovely ladies can share their beauty with the local area!

Well as the title suggests it has been a while since I posted on here. Hell it has been a long while since I have even logged into here.

Things change over time and this site has changed how things look. It doesn't seem like other things have changed on here all that much though with the people.

Stuff has been very busy for me over the past few months.

I've done my best to pick up a few more hours here and there at work. I have also been doing some vacation planning, can anyone say Vegas?

I am looking forward to some warmer weather though. I have to get out and get to my cycling. I feel like I am going crazy not being able to get some rides in yet. I have over 300 miles in charity rides this year that I am participating in and some of them are longer rides then I have ever done in my life. One of them is over half of that total mileage.

I would love to have a cycling buddy for this summer if anyone is interested. My rides aren't all local either. I normally get several rides in a year in Pittsburgh. I also have one this year up in Wilkes-barre and one down near DC. Interested?

A 1st for tonight and I couldn't be more excited or happy

Everyone has something they dream about doing or seeing. For some it is a vacation to some exotic place. Others, maybe they dream about a sports car. What ever you dream about you know exactly what I talking about with respect to chasing that dream.

For me, I have always been interested in space and astronomy ever since I was old enough to have any idea of what that was. I have always enjoyed learning more. I also love clear nights when you can see so much of the unknown.

Tonight was one of those really clear nights. It was also a night where I would realize a dream I have had since I was 5 years old.

I just got a new telescope not long ago and thanks to a lot of cloudy nights I haven't had a chance to use it until tonight.

I have always dreamed of seeing Jupiter. I have seen so many pictures of it as well as shows about it and the other planets. I know enough about the stars and planets that I was able to get the telescope outside tonight and pointed at Jupiter relatively quickly.

Thanks to a very clear night and no moon out I was able to see Jupiter for the 1st time ever in my lifetime. I have always looked at it's direction but tonight I could actually see it. My view was so clear I could see the different color bands of the clouds. It was amazing and I was so excited that I even clapped and started to laugh right before my eyes watered up on me.

I was so excited that I didn't notice for about 20 minutes that I could see Jupiter's 4 largest moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto) as well. I didn't notice it until I was tracking Jupiter through the sky and saw these 4 smaller specks that were always there with the planet.

I literally spent 2 hours outside in 20 degree weather watching Jupiter and it's moons and I couldn't have been happier. If I close my eyes I can still see it just as if I was actually looking at it. I have been dreaming about this day for 23 years and I can't explain the feeling I have of seeing it finally.

I can't wait to get out again and see what else I can see!!!

Seriously NHL...

Get your act together...

I'm sick of waiting for the start of the season.

You are all a bunch of greedy bastards.

Wish they would at least pretend to care about the fans instead of their pockets.

I have an outside email that I have been using for years. I won't mention it's name but it is an email that starts with the word Hot and ends with the word mail.

A little while ago there was an addition to make things less apt to get hacked into. It is a little box that you can check and un-check at your own desire. What does that little box do you ask?

Well that little box makes your current password expire after 90 days. So on that 90th day, you are forced to replace that password. I think it is a good feature but there is one major problem with it too. When that 90th day comes along, you can't log in to change your password at all.

Normally when a password like this expires, something comes up saying something like "you password has expired, please create a new one" or something along those lines.

Instead of something smart like that, the wonderful people who run this system have decided that it would be better if people just can't log in at all. It has now been 7 hours and I still can't get into my email at all.

As much as I like the feature I think once this is all said and done with I will be getting rid of it. I go through this every 90 days and am sick of it.

Sorry for the rant but I'm frustrated with all of it. You know what else? It is also my blog and I can write what ever I want into it and if that also seems to bother you... well I still don't care and you can go find someone else who does.

Update on the new years goals

Well we are down to just about the last 25% of the year. Most of us have long ago forgot what our goals were and won't think about it at all again until the end of December.

My goals are coming along though. I did get the vacation in that I wanted and I had a blast. It has already been over a month since I got back and it seems like I just got back yesterday and I wish I could go back tomorrow.

I am down to just 30 miles left in my bicycle riding goal. I wasn't sure how much I was going to have this year but I am happy with my progress so far.

The last goal was raising more money for charities. I haven't done very well with that one so far this year. I have made some progress but I am still around 50% of what I had raised last year. Maybe some of that has to do with the fact that people are still worried about money in everything they do with the way the economy is these days? Maybe some are getting tired of being asked for money for this that and the other thing all the time? Who knows for sure but I am still trying anyway.

As the title of the blog suggests, I am indeed back home.

It was a wonderful 2 weeks. Though as vacations usually are, the trip started and ended much too quickly. In some ways it is nice to be home and able to lay my head down in my own big bed. On the flip side of that though is that in 2 weeks, you start to get use to where you are at and the towns that you are in.

I have been to England before and it is just as beautiful as I remember it being the last time I was there. This time there was the added interest of the Olympics being there too. I sadly did not get to attend any events, but the atmosphere of it all was something I have never experienced before in my life. The whole country was consumed with support of their athletes and everyone was talking about it. Something that the last time the Olympics were in the USA I don't remember at all, maybe I was just too young?

After a few days in England I was heading north to Scotland. I have never been to Scotland before but after the short time I was there, I already know I have to go back and see more. It was a wonderful place and there are so many things to see and do that I know I have to go back just to see more. The other thing that I found to be great were the people. Everyone was so nice. I know that most places that I found myself in were tourist related but everyone was friendly. Friendly to the point of locals will stop on the street and help you find places even if you didn't ask for help to begin with.

I did have a few rainy days but over all the weather was great too. There were a few things that I want to go back and do though sometime when it isn't raining.

Another thing that I enjoyed was the fact that I had the pleasure of dealing with a lot more redheaded women then I normally do in my everyday life. What can I say, I have a thing for redheads.

Well, back to the grind again I guess.

Only question I have now is where do I take my vacation next year? Do I go back over to somewhere I have already been and see more? Do I go back and try and find myself a nice redhead to bring home? Where else would the blogland suggest I go/do/see?
