The reason one should never judge a book by its cover is because the older, more tattered the cover, the more interesting the story inside. While it can mean the book has been read by many people, it could be that the book was read repeatedly by the same person, reading the same parts over and over again.

 I have to say I agree with you and Lala..well said and its so very true. As I am always telling everyone it's not about looks, its about the whole package..
