Ladies, what would you have done?

Ladies, what would you have done? I spoke with a lady on IM several days ago. After a few minutes, we exchanged numbers and began texting. I immediately put her number in my phone with her Senior Sizzle name as the contact name. A little later, she told me her real name. We never referred to each other with first names in the next day or so. My phone only holds so many texts and just bumps them off my phone. After 2 or maybe 3 days. I was trying to remember her name and could not. I looked at my texts and it was already gone. We were supposed to meet tomorrow for dinner and maybe more. I humbly expressed my apologies and asked her name again. She did not reply. I asked her if she was upset and she said, "yep". She never answered me again. I am terrible at remembering names. I apologized profusely but no answer. I finally got her to answer my question of if she was done with me because I forgot her name. She said, "correct". My question is, "Would you have have been upset? I was pretty hurt because I had done everything I could to be careful and gentlemany. I thought she was special. Again, Would you have been upset? |

Yeah...I'd be pretty pissed off I think. Next time write it down

No I would not have been upset. I take people at the word. Have experienced similar situations with technology. Its really small potatoes in the grand scheme of what people should be upset about.

I can't be upset, as I easily forget names as well. If I had been been in her place I probably would have laughed, knowing how I am. It takes constant repetition and contact before a name is firmly fixed in my mind. I usually try to put both names (Senior Sizzle and real) in my phone, even if I have to abbreviate something. Note for next time. By the way, I have no idea what phone you have, but any that I have had (all non-smart phones) usually provide me with a message that my memory is full and to delete some texts.

I would not be upset because of the fact YOU tried texting her and said u were sorry for not remembering her name so to me no big deal And agree with freenez if it was face to face and u forgot her name the next day then yes would be pissed

No, it would not upset me. What I do is have him email me first. That way I have the name saved and I send him mine. You may have just dodged a bullet.

You bet. There are too many people on here who play games like not showing up for dates/meets, dropping off the grid for without a peep and popping back up again like nothing happened and so forth. Whether it's true or not, "I forgot your name" feels sketchy. If you are interested enough in me that you want to meet, you'll make a "god damn concerted effort" to remember my name. If you don't I"m looking for someone who will.
