My Art...sorry, no porn, no nudity...just an attempt to lighten the mood in Blogland...

I have recently taken up colored pencils as an art medium. Here are a few of the projects I have completed or are in the process of completing.

I welcome bloggers to post pictures of what fun stuff you like to do...a car you are in the process of fixing up, a gardening project, a house you are building....

my heart and my soul are heavy this afternoon...needed to think of something else. Thanks for allowing me to share with you.

Here is the original I used as my inspiration....called Capri Rendezvous by Robert Pejman...I didn't like that huge umbrella on the far right, so in the image I am using to make my drawing from, I photo shopped out that big umbrella.

This is from a still life I created and photographed.

A rose from my garden

Here is the original...by Barbara Fox

Here is the original by Dimitri Annekov. As you can see, my colors are very different from his....I have a limited set of colored pencils and found out I really didn't have the right colors, nor do I have the skill to mix colors yet...but I absolutely love his still life paintings so I wanted to try. I will try again when I get a bigger set of colored pencils...

Really nice. I like your sense of color. It shows both a vibrancy and a sense of peace.

Some nice work there. I especially like the fruit and those tomatoes; I may be getting hungry.

Is that out side Portofino Italy?
Looks like were Gore Vidal's house was.

Using more than all the road!

I made some notes on my post, with pictures of the original art pieces I used for inspiration...this seaside village is called Capri Rendezvous by Robert Pejman

I love your art. I also love your attitude. We'll get there, with that attitude. It's going to take work, like your art, but we'll get there.

Cool work, what's up with the statues?

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

You must mean my sculpture? My David (based very loosely on Michelangelo's David sculpture) is about half finished. I have a lot of hobbies and I get a bit bored with one, go to another...there is merit to sticking with a project until it's done...sometimes i just have to say 'f**k it, it's my life, I'm gonna do what I wanna do' and so i have a few unfinished projects laying around lol

Have you tried watercolors?
I wonder if you'll enjoy that medium too?

I tried watercolors from a tube...results were mixed to not to good lol A few days ago, I got my first set of watercolor pencils and have been working with those...it's not as easy as they make it look at the you tube place lol But I am having fun and discovering my likes and dislikes for the medium...I actually like it more when you can tell it's watercolor...what looks like mistakes, where the colors run into each other abruptly rather then blend...almost abstract...

I like the abstract aspect too, it doesn't always have to be photographic

As I play around with the watercolor pencils, I am getting to enjoy the unexpected results when I add the water with a brush. I let the water do where it wants to go, to a point lol And I love color. so much fun!
