Why I chose an alternative lifestyle. So, I'm a newbie. Yes, I admit it. But, I am what I am. At least for now. So why did I join the sight? Some people might ask. I did not start by checking it out from curiosity. Nor did I think this was a good place to get laid. Don't get me wrong, this is a great place to get laid, but that's not the reason I joined. Let me explain; In my life, like most people (out there) I had hang ups, lots of them. Sexual hang ups, relationship hang ups, hang ups about the way people acted and how they did their jobs, how they voted, etc., etc. Oh, and I seemed happy and cool and everyone liked me. But I wasn't happy! After my divorce, I thought I was free but I wasn't! I explored Hinduism as an additional way of looking at God.......bingo! I'm not a Hindu, but it allowed me to look at things differently. Bingo because I'm no longer restricted by someone else's views on what I should believe. And the hang ups, like ice on a hot summers day, began to melt away. The first to go was political affiliation. I only care how I vote now. Still the sexual hang ups "hung on" because they are ingrained into us by society, our parents, etc. Not until I reflected on myself (another long story I'll post some other time) did I realize or admitted who I really am! For me, once those hang ups were gone, I realized my happiness is the most important thing to me and hang ups should not keep from being happy. So, I'm on because it's who I am! I'm here to meet somebody, long term with no hang ups. And one further note, As I continue down this path of discovery, I am happy and I feel more liberated than I ever have. The real reason I'm on the site.....I'm FREE!!! |
