Is alcohol a truth serum?


Do you think people are more truthful when they have been drinking? Do you think what they do and say is really how they think/feel?

I wonder about this because it seems that, when I am with Bob Seger, he is much more open and lovey-dovey after a few beers. By that I mean the words "I love you" flow from him more easily that when he is not drinking.

So what do you think?

 Alcohol affects the mind...I'm not sure if it makes a person "more" truthful but there must be some feelings there and the alcohol eases the senses and the truth flows more freely and easier! I hope you can understand my comment..it is one thing to have the thoughts in my head and then to put them into words.

 I'm with Atomic Kiss on this one. Never trust what happens when alcohol is involved. It it happens (or is spoken) when sober then it might actually be the truth.

 I think of it as more of a character enhancing serum. I have seen the best and worst come out of people when they drink.

My favorite drunks, are the ones that are so silly, they make you laugh 'til you pee.

Me; I'm a huggy drunk; efry 1 is my frend wen I drink.
