*** Get it together day

It is that day. Time to start getting things ready for Thanksgiving. Getting all the good stuff together. Starting the cooking, filling the house with the delightful holiday scents and views. Although I will be having the day of celebration with friends and family. I do prepare a "mini feast " for the next day and I could use some help with that . I have a list prepared and I am almost certain that I have forgotten something . I better call my friend and see if she is ready to start this whole thing . Do you have pre Thanksgiving traditions or tasks? If you do, is it a solo task, or a community activity? Do you enjoy this holiday? I think of it as the start of the wind up to the Christmas season

I am staying traditional, that deep frying of the turkey just seems tilted towards disaster [image]

I also prefer the Turkey in the oven, steaming up the windows and the neighborhood smelling like Thanks Giving.

I always make sure I get all my stuff at the store a few days before as it's always busy at the stores the day before. I will be busy cooking and prepping today. I hope you enjoy a great Thanksgiving..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I don't do anything besides getting the Christmas decorations up to the living room from the basement. What a task it is too.

Mine will be a small celebration tomorrow...mostly just relaxing, watching some football, and doing some Christmas sewing. I need to make some dough for rolls...it proves in the fridge overnight. Everything else will be prepped tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Up here, in Canada, we have our Thanksgiving in October - and it doesn't seem like such a big deal as down where you live. Maybe because it is not so close to Christmas, and we don't all sit down to watch football. And although some do travel to spend it with family - it doesn't seem to be the huge exodus of people travelling all over the country like it is down there.

Plus, not a big shopping day.

I could be wrong, but, who cares?

I have 2 questions, though:

1. Is that your REAL shopping cart?
2. What is that dish that appears to have mashed potatoes and cheese on top?

No, not my shopping cart, mine is a bigger mess

The potatoes is a "sort of" shepherds pie"
