***Behind the uniform
I have posted in the past about a photo series that was being used to show the face behind the military uniform. I think that many folks just see the uniform and don’t always realize that that person is someone just like us. Someone that has just chosen a different career path than most people. A person that is like your neighbor, classmate, coworker or even you or me. One thing that makes this possible is the militaries non threatening position to us. I just thought I would share, maybe as a reminder to pause and think about them a little.

 this is an excellent photo essay ... was stricken by the contrast in diversity of religion, race, gender and sexuality - all proud Americans, serving their country - this is the side of the US we love.
