Ironically, today I'm meeting someone for a platonic lunch. Distance is the impediment in this case, but wanted to check out. Over the years, of the people I've met from this site for drinks or coffee, I'd say a quarter were exceptional, a quarter were good dating/friend material, and the rest were not compatible. Maybe that's the case for most people's experiences.

Been lurking in the background checking the site out when I've had a few minutes here and there was about to sign up for gold status when I happened on this post. After reading the responses I'm thinking, why bother signing up just to spend more wasted time and continue to be frustrated. I'll probably give it a 1 month try and see what happens but tbh I suspect it'll amount to nothing.

Had one hook up last summer , since then nada , lots of cancellations so alot of fakes here . The main reason I'm a non payer . Site is 2 restrictive for my liking , there are so many great people on it but its impossible for us to carry on a decent conversation . pay to chat is a big loser .

truth be told no i joined site 2 years ago a year after my wife died along with several other sites and the way I see it when these sites started they where good but when the scammers infected them it went to shit 50 % are scammers if not more 90% are to scared to even reply back, when I just ask to chat I get crickets. its really a shame cuz a ssomeone said earlier yes some matches were made here as well as some great friendships formed, but guess that doesn't happen as often anymore.
