Wednesday for EO on travel ban Apparently the seven nation travel ban EO is supposed to hit on Wednesday. It is supposed to be the same as before, but leaving out green card holders, and visa holders. The government will argue no one in the US has standing to protest. The standing argument is not a sure winner. The same judges that decided the first EO violated Constitutional guarantees are likely to conclude the same thing about the new order. My guess is the Ninth Circuit panel will conclude again there is a major problem, and may reach the religious discrimination claims. Gorsuch is unlikely to be confirmed fast enough to vote on this issue assuming it get to the Supreme Court. A 4 to 4 split by the US Supreme Court would affirm the result in the Ninth Circuit. My guess is Trump is not going to win this travel ban. The travel ban also makes it very hard as in impossible for the US to host the Soccer World Cup, Olympics or any other world sports competition. |

And people are now CHOOSING to not come to the U.S. because they don't want to be hassled by overzealous border patrol agents at the airports. Conventions where lots of people are from other countries and may have been born in the original countries are no longer willing to subject themselves to stupidity. I don't blame them! One of the Australian Comic Book authors of the new Wolverine series and also other comics just canceled his appearance at a Comic book convention because he is from Australia. He says he is canceling all U.S. Book signing for the rest of the year. So this "business" president is losing the U.S. business!
