Trump the polarizer Trump keeps playing to his base supporters. Which leaves out about 60% of Americans. Trump has nominated not one Democrat for his Cabinet. Obama had one or two Repubs in his Cabinet. The Repubs criticized Obama for passing the ACA with just Democrat votes in Congress. But that is just how Trump's EO's are perceived and they did not even pass Congress. Historically candidates are more divisive in the primaries and move toward the center for the general election and become more moderate as they seek bipartisan agreement after the election. Trump has not followed this model and his cabinet and EO's are hard right policies. The problem is you cannot pass any legislation in Congress with just 40% support. Under the current rules to get past a filibuster in the Senate requires 60 votes, which takes at least 8 Democrats to agree with the law. Trump calling Chuck Shumer, the lead Dem in the Senate, a clown is not how you make friends. Insults do not lead to cooperation. Trump has the shortest honeymoon with Congress ever. As in no honeymoon. What laws has Trump gotten Congress to pass? Very few accomplishments so far. Not looking good for getting things done. |

by leaving congress out of the decisions, he's making himself an autocrat which is dangerous but so far effective. continuing in this manner will sink his ship long term. a vacuum collapses from pressure and the pressure is mounting. You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Trump has not done anything positive yet. No wall is built, nothing but canceling TPP and canceling regulations. He has a right wing rich cabinet, but no assistant or deputy secretaries of the departments. He has pissed off many and lost popularity. The legislative agenda is dead in the water. Trump is ineffective as a leader.
