Is it time for the blue pill???

Ladies and yes gentleman if you care to weigh in..
E.D. and Viagra or Cialis, your thoughts?
I have an issue both physically and in my ltr. I am 53 y/o and I think I am just starting to have a mild case of E.D. Let’s face it, it happens and I am not old, but I am not getting any younger either.
Be it when I am with my partner, or even when I am masturbating, it just isn’t as immediately rock solid as it use to be. But it always works in the end given enough attention, but it takes a little more effort.
As a result of my slight E.D. problem it has caused an issue in my relationship.
When I make love with my partner I enjoy the build up and the events of the encounter so to speak. I think most of us do??? But lately I spend a fair amount of time in foreplay, massaging, oral, and fingering and toys when she allows. And I always please my partner, always. I take great pride and enjoyment in doing so. As a result of this I my partner often taps out and says it is my turn. Hell, that is what I am hoping and waiting for..
Here is my issue/problem. Being 53 and things aren’t what they use to be; it takes a little more effort sometimes. I am not always standing at attention and ready to go. Now for me personally this isn’t an issue. I like the peaks and valleys and time it takes to get to the peaks and the time that there is to relax and enjoy the moment during the valleys of excitement. My partner, not so much…
Her immediate reaction is that I am not attracted to her and she doesn’t do it for me anymore… As a result even after she has had her fun, she’ll give up on mine in very short order and make it all my fault and shut down the play we are enjoying.
So my question is, do I try a pill or do I try and get her to understand I still love her and I am into her, or both??
The sad part is, I actually enjoy the slow rise to the occasion and the prolonged event, but I guess to her it seems as if I have lost interest?
What is a guy to do in this situation????

    Quoting RockPebble:
As my Dr. said "If you think you have ED you probably do!"

I currently have all 3 different pills in my medicine cabinet, lol. I've only tried 2 but my insurance stopped approving Cialis so I got some Levetra (haven't tried it yet), I don't know/care if I spelled either correctly.

Yes, some of it is in your head but a lot of it is physical, the ads do say "men over 40". I find without the pill it's hit or miss, sometimes rock hard sometimes not, but with a low dosage of the pill, always hard. Except when the future-X was a bitch, that would wilt the Washington monument! That's one reason she's the future-X.

At 68 I still find that when a hot girl is lifting fairly heavy weights at the gym my "interest" shows!

Check with your Dr., each pill has different side effects and you want to try to match them to your medical history. I find that Viagra will cause me congestion but depending on what else I have planned it is more discomfort than incapacitating. Sleeping congested is no problem for me, lol.
    Best of luck.
Thank you for your input. As you said it is hit or miss on whether things work well on their own. I even notice during masturbation it is an issue sometimes. So far 50 MG V has worked well. My g/f almost always asked me after if i took a pill. I think she is worried it is her. Trust me it isn't.
Stay safe and keep having fun..

You need to tell her so she understands what is going on. Things happen with age and we sure do know this from experience.. My hubby went through something like this as well.. Soon as he finally told me I understood.. Trust me she will understand! If she truly loves you she will be there for you! It will come back... hugssssssssssss V

Thnx for the note, but I can't blame it on the saddle, I haven't ridden much indoor or out since Oct. I do have a Selle SMP saddle on my road bike an I love it..

Is it possible that your bike saddle is contributing to this issue? If you're spending more time on an indoor trainer, lately, you might wan to see if there's a connection.

During outdoor rides, I'm often out of my saddle, coasting, stopping, etc. so I don't go numb in my crotchular area. But anything over 20 minutes on an indoor bike usually requires standing or resting to regain blood flow. I don't have any ED issues but noticed that indoor training definitely causes discomfort.

Perhaps look into an Adamo, Cobb or Selle SMP saddle? My triathlete buddy swears by his Adamo and, at 51, did his first Ironman.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.
