Fertile eggs
Pater Familias is looking for some fertilized eggs. He's going to build an incubator and try to hatch some new chickens for us in time for Easter hopefully. He'd really like to find some Barnevelders, but it's difficult to find a pure strain here in the States, and some places have reservations about shipping them overseas. He's on the chicken websites bidding on eggs and getting contacts and such to try and find exactly what he wants, and is checking out specs and ideas for the incubator. He's pretty clever, and his engineering degree sure does come in handy.
Anywho, I thought I'd do my part and ask all of you if anyone could perhaps help us find some that can be shipped to us. I'd pay for them of course and the shipping, so if anyone can help out please let me know.

He may also get me a Silver Laced Wyandotte or few. I think they're very pretty.

What's he gonna do with these chickens? Use 'em for kid-pets? Or... eat 'em?

I got no use for chickens... except for puttin' one in every pot. So, I'd just go buy me some local chickens (and a rooster) and let them suckers hatch me out a whole freezer full of pot-chickens.

I ain't all that fond of eatin' eggs, either--but they're pretty good for makin' baby pot-chickens.

Look at my "Wee Farm" postings up in my index. We're raising them for the eggs. The fact that they don't attack the midgets, and that the midgets kinda like them is a definite bonus.

Thanks anyways. Yeah, Easter should be pretty fun this year. Who doesn't like baby animals anyways? And we're not like those bastards that think an animal is just a cute thing that you have for a few weeks until it's inconvenient or not cute any more.
Kinda fun that we get to hunt for eggs every day too.
