guns and politics

Personally,I don't think politics should be involved with guns, unless they are buying anything for our soldiers (military and law inforcement).I know I just mind my on buisness with my guns. How do you feel about the situation

The second amendment is the second, because it is the second most important concept in the constitution. Second only to our right to free speech, free press, free thought and free religion.

The founders were not random fools.

RULES FOR GUN SALES AND OWNERHIP.
Follw these rules and we don't need politics.

Above the age of 18.
Legal citizen of the United States.
No felony record.
No arrests for dometic violence.
Be mentally and emotionally competent.
Gun be registered to the person buying and owning.

But these rules would take away from gun and ammo sales.
So the NRA will fight against these rules.

(1) Lying about "rights" to get more guns into the hands of domestic terrorists, so these paranoid groups can apply political pressure.
(2) NRA uses increased sales to finance their budget to continue paying thru a lobby, for weaker gun laws.

All this groups the everyday American that deer hunts, shoots skeet, or carries a pistol for personal protection; with the propaganda beliving wing-nuts.

These are the people that think monsters are hiding under their beds at night. They fear and hate anyone that is of a different race, religion, nationality or based on the persons sexual preferences.
They vote and support politics that protect their excuse to kill.
Then stand behind legal jargon like "Stand Your Ground"

I own one mossberg pump, an M1, and one revolver.

On the other hand, I know people that have more guns than teeth in their head. If you ask them why? Poor dental health will not be the answer. It's because the democrats are coming to take their guns.
Along with the radical miltants planning to re-educate their children......To balance this kind of hate and stupidity we have politics.

I appreciate the views are different from many places around the world and America grew up with a gun culture and the right (and necessity sometimes) to protect oneself.

But there are two issues here...

1, The criminal who may break in or attack you is likely to be carrying a gun because the police do and because the victim may do as well... therefore people needs guns to commit a crime and others need guns to feel safe.

But here in Ireland the uniformed police do not carry guns, the petty criminal does not have one and people do not need guns to protect themselves.

But it is a one way street and so far we have been lucky not to have to arm the police.

2. Owning and caring for guns can be a hobby too, and these gun owners may be passionate about their possessions and take great care and pride and be careful of how and where they use them.

The problem with any change is that is affects the innocent and does not remove the guns from the criminals... The real issue in gun control is not the rules and regulations about who can buy, possess or own any particular type of gun, but rather how to remove the guns from the hands of criminals and in this way make life safer for everyone.

I have a new teeshirt that I'm proud to wear!

A criminal is going to get a gun regardless
